I'm glad to see that nonsense is going strong on college campuses, like the annual Lettuce Club meeting at the University of Minnesota!
Students get together once a year for a stress reliever towards the end of the spring semester to have fun and see who can eat a head of lettuce the fastest. There were actually two winners for the competition this year, where Ethan Lie and Jared Burnett tied at 3 minutes and 32 seconds. Ethan was declared the winner by default because Jared is graduating this year, and the winner has to organize the event for next year. But still, default or not, a win is a win. We salute you, Head Lettuce Ethan Lie!
Watch the video and you can read more about the Lettuce Club from The Minnesota Daily at this link. This is so ridiculous and I love it!
